Cavan beat Derry in the Ulster final by a point as Raymond Cunningham is credited with a point earlier which TV replays clearly showed had gone wide. "As soon as I kicked it I knew it was wide,” he said. “I was annoyed with myself because it was one I'd normally score. But then Ronan Carolan said to me: 'what are you giving out about the point's after being given?' In a big game like that, you'll take anything that comes you're way and the Derry players weren't complaining, so there was nothing more said about it until afterwards."
