The 1941 Munster championship was a chaotic affair. Kerry were given a bye into the final while the other sides played off for the McGrath Cup and the chance to join them there. Tipperary scraped past Waterford before they conceded a walkover to Clare as foot-and-mouth worries meant the Premier county was in quarantine at the time. The Kingdom claimed the title, defeating their rivals by nine points in the final.
