Cavan were given a bye into the Ulster semi-final because they took an American tour which was commons in the 1930s. After arriving home they beat Armagh and then Monaghan in the final. Louis Blessing’s early goal set them on their way low-scoring encounter. There were no scores in the game’s final quarter as the men from Cavan won by 1-7 to 0-4.
