In the delayed 1924 All-Ireland final in front of the newly erected Hogan Stand Kerry beat Dublin by a point. Almost 30,000 spectators paid five shillings each to watch an enthralling game. There was no score for the first 20 minutes before the game swung this way and that. Con Brosnan kicked the winning point and forward Redmond Prendiville later became Archbishop of Perth in Australia.
