The delayed 1910 final and the replay between Kerry and Louth boosted the GAA coffers. They purchased Jones’s Road with the extra cash and renamed it Croke Memorial Park in honour of Archbishop Croke. In the replay, and for the first time, teams were reduced from 17 players to 15. There were a couple of other tweaks to the game including allowing kick-outs to be taken from the 21-yard line following a point.
